Katlynn's Baptism

It has finally happened :) Katlynn was baptized yesterday, 27th of June. She has turned 8 in mid April but we were in Czech Republic. And with Greg being gone a lot we had to wait a little bit longer. It was truly a very happy day for all of us. Katlynn was literally shining. She was ready. She might not understand fully the meaning of all things pertaining to baptism (thanks to me slack in teaching her), but she has a great desire to follow Jesus Christ and wanted to be baptized just like Jesus was.
It was a very special moment to see my husband baptize our first born child. That's when I recognized a complete feeling of joy and contentment. (Today I felt the same way when we were all together attending church and looked at Greg showing Katlynn some important scripture passages in her brand new set of scriptures we got for her yesterday.)
:)))) Love those moments.
It was very good for Gevin to see his sister to get baptized. For now he knows what to expect. She definitely set a very good example for him.
Bishop Norman gave Katlynn a Journal to record all the feelings that she might have as a result of an influence of the Holy Ghost in her life. He also included his testimony that is written in her Journal along with testimony of the 2nd counselor in the bishopric. I thought how neat and special that is :)

Fathers Day

Where have I been? Has it been really 6 months since my last posting? Time sure does fly. I've been way too busy I guess. Or it might also be because I singed up on Facebook and that's where I like to hang out when I take the time to sit behind a computer:)
Well, it IS Fathers Day today, and I want to show my appreciation to all of those who have played a role of a father in my life, one time or another. I want them to know, how important they are to me and how cool and awesome I consider them to be. What would we do without our dads :)
Especially my Father in Heaven whom I have been neglecting for some time now. I am SO grateful for him, for giving me my life and all that comes with it. How comforting it is to me to know of his endless love that he has for his children and how forgiving he is. And boy, how much patience he has to have, especially with me:) I love him with all my heart, I just need to show it more. I have been blessed greatly with having a wonderful family and a great place to live my life and word cannot express how grateful I am for the gospel and the hope and direction it gives me.

Greg has sure been the best daddy ever to our kids. He is so considered and loving. What I treasure about him is that he is not shy to let the kids know that he loves them. How awesome is that:) He is definitely missed when he is on his frequent weekly business trips. I hope we won't be apart much longer.

So, to all the fathers, THANK YOU for all you do. Love you :)))
